Fair rowing for adaptive masters

The Rowing Service

FISA issued new Adaptive Rowing Classification as of February 2006.

The Masters Regatta for able Body Competitor will be run so each individual Age Group will compete in their Age Group A thru I, which guarantees fairly good racing.

When it comes to Adaptive Racing there will be no Age handicap and a group A rower may start against a Group H or I Rower. FISA has established Age Handicap for Ergometer Racing in their Rule book.

If FISA doesn't want to use Age Handicap they could open up the event to include all Age Groups (LTA4 + A-I) and in this case you may get multiple Winners.

No one can predict if any crews will participate, but to attract Adaptive Competitors you must first create a fair and level playing (rowing) field.

Thank you
