Spring GB trials
Grainger beats Guin
Guin Batten was beaten into second place by Katherine Grainger in the senior
spring trials at Holme Pierrepont. Last seasons's top men's pair, Ben
Hunt-Davis and Bobbie Thatcher, were pipped by James Cracknell and Tim Foster
from the coxless four. Jane Hall and Peter Haining were the top lightweight
scullers, Greg Searle the fastest open sculler, and Brown and Warnock the
fastest lightweight pair, Goodbrand and Greenaway beat Haining and Male for the
top place in the lightweight doubles. Sue Walker and Lisa Eyre were first in
the women's pairs.
