Schools Head 2006 and after

As a result of the restrictions put on the number of crews able to compete in the Schools Head and the offer of the `Scullery' organisation to run an additional event for Junior Sculling crews at Henley, the following changes will take place from 2006.

The Schools Head Race for 2006 will revert to become a sweep oar only event.

?The `scullery' organisation will run a separate event at Henley for all the sculling events [quads and octos]. The events will take place on consecutive days.

The dates for 2006 are Wednesday 8th March for the `Scullery' event on the Henley reach and Thursday 9th March [start 1300] for the Schools Head sweep oar events on the usual tideway courses.

Schools and clubs with J16 and J18 quads are reminded that the Fours Head in November offers the opportunity for a race over the full championship course.

The date of the Schools Head for 2007 is Thursday 15th March start 1330
