Star Club apologises

The Rowing Service

An apology from Star Club
Published online 14th June 2006

"Star Club would like to offer an unreserved apology to all the competitors at our regatta held last weekend for the late posting of the draw, some mistakes in the draw itself and the difficulties on the two days of running the race programme.

This came about due to a failure of the newly installed computer software the club had purchased just to avoid such a situation arising. We appreciate that the buck stops with us and understand that schools in particular were placed in a very difficult position when trying to sort out the logistics of getting to the regatta.

We rely entirely on volunteers to run the regatta and everyone involved did their utmost to rectify the situation both during the week and on regatta day.

We will make every effort to ensure there is no repeat next year and would welcome any and all comments from competing clubs to ensure that we hear your views and can do something about it. Please email these to Simon White, Club Chairman at Simon.White@bedscc.gov.uk

We apologise once again, Star Club."
