Sons of the Thames Rowing Club is looking for a women's coach to start in the upcoming season. The club has a growing number of novices, S4, and S3 level women and men, as well as veterans and S2 oarspeople who row on a more ad hoc basis. The new coach would be mainly coaching the womens S4 /S3 level at the weekends, as well as helping set training programs. Support would be given by the club for training and qualifications if desired. This is an excellent chance to help progress your coaching knowledge, and to help move the club forward. The role would begin in September 2007.

One NK Speed Coach Gold. I have used the actual Speedcoach but not any of the wires so they remain packaged as new. Laser, the U.K.s largest dinghy manufacturer, are organising a sponsored row from Oxford to Kingston for Friday 19th to Sunday 21st October. The event is in aid of Sailability, an RYA foundation helping disabled people get in to sailing. http://www.rya.org.uk/AboutRYA/RYASailability/
Laser host a challenge every year to raise funds for Sailability, the last couple of years have seen staff memebers riding the Coast to Coast path as well as prize draws etc.
Back to the rowing, I am trying to organise this event on the Thames for two eights (plus a couple of spare bodies) made up of staff and management of Laser. If anyone is interested in helping by offering an eight or two (Empachers not necessary!!) or a couple of coaching boats, help would be greatly appreciated. If possible, I would like to run a couple of coaching days leading up to the event maybe at Dorney. I know the distance is usually covered in two days (I did it as a schoolboy), but I propose three days for novices such as these!
As I said, this is for a very worthy cause and help would be greatly appreciated in this tough task

Hi my name is Kelly and I work for a retail clothing company called Fatface.
Last year we purchased a rowing boat no longer in use from Duncan Holland at the CUBC club. It made for a great feature in the ceiling at our new store in Reading and so we would like to replicate the design for our new store opening soon in Chiswick.
Duncans club don't have any other old rowing boats we could purchase but suggested that I put the request out on this website to see if any other clubs may be able to help.

Following the completion of Univ's new boathouse, University College Women's 1st VIII are looking for a high quality coach to reflect the considerable increase in our coaching budget.
The position is part-time, outside of office hours and would begin this October.
You would be working with a group of experienced and highly motivated rowers. Water sessions are at Godstow. Land training is at the Isis. Parking is available at both locations.
Pay is negotiable. Ideally the applicant would be available for all three Oxford terms, with potential for extending the contract beyond this academic year.

at Henley Royal Regatta
Has anyone seen a set of 8 carbon single action seats in a black bin liner in Henley. There were last seen on Saturday evening (7th July) about 5 pm during boat loading. The trailer was at the back far left of the trailer field. The seats were placed next to the jockey wheel whilst another boat was fetched from the boat tents. They have not been seen since dispite several line of enquiry. If one has seen them please contact captain@teesrowingclub.co.uk and we can arrange for them to be reunited with their boat.

Elder Trident Assault 1x, 75kg
Due to moving out of the country, I am selling my Elder 1x. It is a 75kg boat, although it was fine with me in it at 80kg. It is a really quick boat, and used to belong to a member of the NZ squad (it still has the NZ Rowing logos on it), and went to the World Cup in the LM1x category.
It has been used fairly lightly since I bought it in 2005, and has always been stored indoors. A couple of minor aesthetic knocks, but otherwise, generally in VGC. The wing rigger has a padded bag for transport, and I am also throwing in my Speed Coach Gold, which is pretty much brand new (after my old one got stolen). The boat is still very stiff, and has a large straight lane fin on it.
It is a sectional boat (3 sections), and can be easily taken apart if desired. It has not been split for at least 2 and half years.

16 month old Stampfli X1 single being sold due to retirement - used infrequently for about 10 months. 75kg boat (it has been used for Scottish Trials by lwt man) Quick release carbon rigger and fully integrated stroke coach wiring/impellor. Comes with concept 2 smoothies (not vortex) and red strokecoach. Red with silver flashings (including all fittings.) Absolutely wonderful boat in great condition. £3500.
The boat is currently based in Glasgow, and can be picked up (I am happy to split the costs of petrol) or it may be possible to organise delivery down for early season heads/boston marathon etc.
