List of those who have qualified YOG10 spots through the 2009 World Junior Rowing Championships
Published online Monday 10 August 2009

The system: To start with, those countries who finished in the top six 1x, top three 2x and top three 4x at the junior world championships 2009 will qualify single sculling places for that gender, and those who finished in the top five 2-, top three 4- and top three 8+ will qualify pairs places for that gender.

However, each country may only send one men's and one women's boat, and the only possible boats are singles and pairs. Furthermore, the total YOG team for a nation (across all sports) is limited to 70, which will leave some countries having to choose between sending eg rowers, track athletes or swimmers.

These decisions will be made over the next few months, and unused spaces from the juniors worlds will be reallocated downwards (first in the 2x and 4- categories, then in the quads and eights, then in the singles and pairs.) 26 further athletes will be allocated places by FISA to improve universality (ie number of nations competing) and two athlete places go to the host country (Singapore).

Anyway, here's the first round of those who have initially qualified and are eligible to send crews next year if they choose to do so (further places just down to end of B-final for now) =
