Tuesday 13th April 2010: "Homeopathy - dispelling the myths, establishing the facts"

Dr Steven Cartwright is a molecular biologist who came to homeopathy in 1984, and since then has been fascinated by the scientific background of the concept. In 1988 after training, he set up business as a homeopath in Oxford, and his aim has been to try and contribute to an understanding of how homeopathy might work. Since 2009 he has been carrying out experiments funded by private donations and a homeopathic pharmacy.

His talk will focus on some of the misunderstandings surrounding homeopathy, particularly in relation to the issue of dilution beyond any molecular content and the interpretation of the clinical evidence. He will discuss recent research which indicates that homeopathic medicines impart a subtle level of order onto solutions which may eventually provide an explanation of how homeopathy might work.

For more about Steven and his work see his Oxford Homeopathy webpage and particularly the research outline.
