Gas turbines (otherwise known as Œjet enginesı) produce some of the most arduous conditions imaginable for the alloys from which theyıre made. They have also to be made as safe as possible, and as efficient as possible. This is a conflicting set of requirements which the designers and engineers have to reconcile, and we will explore.
